My
name is Kevin. I am 10 years old, in 4th grade and have been taking lessons for
over two years. Martial
Arts has taught me many things. The most important to me have been determination
and patience. I am a black belt now and have gone through many challenging things.
Lessons are hard at first, but you get used to it. I had to get used to it a lot,
so I came in everyday! I focused on getting better and better everyday. I passed
all the belt tests up to black belt. My black belt test was really hard physically
and mentally. Even though I got more points than I needed to pass the test I still
tried my hardest. I just thought, "so what if it hurts." I pushed myself so hard
physically that day that I got a cramp because I was down in low, difficult stances
the whole time, but I never gave up and I passed my test.
Today
I am an Assistant Instructor at the school and am getting ready for my next belt
test, 1st degree 1st stripe. I love being an Assistant Instructor because it is
fun helping poeple and if they said they did a good job it makes me feel good.
Sincerely, Kevin |
