Paul's Testimonial
"...getting started was one of the best decisions I've ever made."

About a year ago I was going through the final stages of a divorce and was looking to inject something positive into my life as I tried to move on. I had always wanted to study martial arts and it just seemed like the perfect time to get started. I had a feeling that it would help my conditioning, flexibility, strength, etc. as well as giving me the opportunity to learn valuable self-defense skills. In addition, like most people I'm under a fair amount of stress at work and not only are the classes great at learning self-defense and gaining physical development, but they're also a great way to blow off some steam. It's only been a year since I began my training, but I can already tell that getting started was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I have been on the kung fu program and have recently switched to the combined program to take better advantage of the development opportunities the school has to offer.

The Allied Gardens School of Martial Arts has such a positive atmosphere, it's really quite incredible. The instructors obviously enjoy teaching and are very knowledgeable martial artists. The instructors are great at working with students on an individual level, based on the student's experience, conditioning or physical situation (by that I mean presence of any previous injuries, chronic aliments/pains or things like that). What's also great is that the classes are focused but also fun at the same time and the other students are also great people to be around.

I really enjoy the way the curriculum and class schedule are set up. Each evening focuses on a different subject so training never gets repetitive or monotonous and the classes are varied so that one night might be a very strenuous class physically while the next night might be a little less strenuous. There are also two opportunities a week to come in and train in a less structured environment where you can ask instructors specific questions you have, pair up with other students and work on things together or just practice on what you want to work on while in the setting of the school.

If you're browsing through this website, then you must be interested in trying this out and I highly recommend that you go for it.

Paul
