What is Tai Chi?

Tai Chi, as reported by 'Time' magazine, is the best exercise program for all people; however, it is much more than that! Tai Chi translated means "Grand Ultimate" and that's truly what it is! A "grand ultimate" method for self defense, healing yourself, fitness, and the ultimate training method for your own mind and body. If you do not have your own mind and body, how can you have anything else?

Why does the Allied Gardens School of Martial Arts teach the Zhao Bao He style of Tai Chi?

Our school teaches the Zhao Bao He style of Tai Chi. This is the original style of Tai Chi. This is important as all other Tai Chi styles have come from the Zhao Bao style. They have become very well known yet they have only received a part of the full Zhao Bao Tai Chi method of training as the Zhao Bao style has stayed quietly in the Wudang mountains of China. Now, due to the modern age and the opening of China to the western world, Master Weidong Zhao has brought this method to our country and has taught this style to the Instructors and students at the Allied Gardens School of Martial Arts in order to pass on the secrets of this Tai Chi method.

What can our Tai Chi program do for you?

The answer to this is going to be different for everyone; however, the universal benefits will be there for everyone. For example, the health benefits include improved breathing, strengthened injured knees, fix lower back problem, and get rid of stress from the entire body. Unlike most other styles, our system also includes training the four techniques of self defense, seizing, throwing, striking, and wrestling.
